Moveandstay is a free* rental service that combines e-commerce with the support of dedicated consultants. We mark-up your asking price rental by 10%, which represent our success fee. We list your property on our network of sites (more than 1 million visitors per month), and we assist you filtering and handling all tenants enquiries and appointments, taking 10% of total rental (from our mark-up) on signed contracts. We do not charge your credit card unless your apartment has been rented or if you are unsatisfied with our service.

Dedicated Consultants: every consultant is available to assist you in all transactions.
Online Marketing: our service promotes your property on sites beyond Moveandstay.com.
Low Mark-Up Fee: Because we have automated some obvious parts of the business, this allows us to charge a very low 10% as markup fee on total rental.

FAQ and Examples

To illustrate our way of working, we provide you with one concrete example:

1- You want to rent your apartment for U$ 1,000 per month
2- Our success fee shall be U$ 100 per month (10% of U$ 1,000)
3- We list your apartment on Moveandstay with rental price at U$ 1,100 per month
4- After meeting with you and visiting the apartment, a client decides to rent your property for one year and signs a contract with you. Each month, you shall receive U$ 1,100 as your rental. However, on the first month of contract, Moveandstay shall take its U$ 1200 fee (ie. U$ 100 x 12 months) with your credit card

Q: What if I accept to lower the rent of my apartment for U$ 900 instead of U$ 1,000? Do I still need to pay you U$ 100 per month?

A: Yes. Moveandstay calculates its mark-up based on initial price. Therefore, based on the above example, if you lower the rental to U$ 900 per month, Moveandstay shall still receive U$ 1200 for one year contract or U$ 100 per month.

Q: Does Moveandstay sign the rental contract with the tenant and apartment owner?

A: No. Moveandstay's mission is to promote your property to its users, filter enquiries and arrange appointments for apartment visits with interested tenants. All terms and conditions to rent the property shall be clearly stated on your listing, to avoid bad surprises for would-be tenants, and to avoid waste of time for you as well.

Q: Can I negotiate your markup?

A: Sorry, no. Our system has been automated so that we can propose you this very low success fee. However, if you wish to pay us more, you are more than welcome to do so :)

Q: Who are your usual tenants?

A: Moveandstay caters to business travelers in need for flexible accommodation. Their work contract might be one month at first and finally extends to 6 months or even one year. We do have equally men and women. One key aspect is usually a fast internet connection already installed in the apartment.
